100 degrees and flooding
Enjoyed a fun day today which started with our outside chores of course and witnessing another argument between the neighbors at 7am. Anita got cleaned up and the three of us went to pick up Kristina for the morning. Gma had surgery to remove vericose veins in one of her legs today so we were the fill in entertainment. The four of us went to the gym and had a good time. Afterwards we went to Burger King for lunch and the girls didn't play too much there as they were both tired out. Next stop was Petco to pet some cats, look at guinea pigs, mice, fish and turtles. Kristina enjoyed playing with a tiny kitty and Anita stood back for awhile. She eventually tried to play with the kitty a little and attempted to pet a larger cat on the top bunk. I was holding her when she let out a piercing scream as the cat in the middle was sticking her paw out trying to get us to play. There was no way she could reach us but you would have thought she bit off Anita's toe. Poor baby was terrified and her mom couldn't help but laugh while trying to comfort her. This afternoon we went to the store for pools. A smaller inflatable one at our house and gpa purchased a plastic bigger one for his house and we set about filling them up. At our house, Jim's sister Sue and her grandson Frank came over to play. We had fun being in the backyard trying to stay cool on a very hot day. What a great way to spend the day and it's the end of my first four day weekend. Can't wait to get to the next one. I could get used to this real quick. Tomorrow gma has surgery on her other leg so Brenda will have the girls and Jim goes back to work Wed. after enjoying a week off. Pictures to come soon. The blog site is having trouble loading. I started this blog as a way to keep family posted but it has turned more into my journal to look back and see what we have been doing. Also a great place to store pictures instead of printing them all off.
